Research in numbers
Our goal in Research is simple: to produce well-considered and thought-provoking ideas that help our clients to make money.
Our highly experienced sales team is based in both London and New York. We pride ourselves on the relationships we have built with fund managers on both sides of the Atlantic which has allowed us to introduce North American investors to pan-European companies.
Years of experience and relationship-building mean our trusted sales team speaks daily with institutional investors who want only actionable ideas relevant to them. Our goal is to help them outperform the market. We focus on cash equities and convertibles.
We work closely with a diversified range of top-quality corporate clients. Our links with investors are the bedrock for IPOs, equity raisings for listed companies and block trades.
Sales in numbers
As a sales desk our purpose is to deliver good ideas to institutional clients and to put our corporates in a position to use the capital markets to create value for their shareholders
Liberum Execution and Market Making
Liberum provides a powerful set of services across a wide range of stock capitalisations. We bring liquidity in the niches that matter and are market-makers in more than 350 large, mid and small cap stocks.
In electronic trading, we provide access to more than 50 dark pools, SI's & exchanges, offer three electronic block trading facilities and have developed a number of proprietary dark aggregators to help achieve price advantages that are independently benchmarked by LiquidMetrix.
We also deploy white-labelled algorithms from several of our seven Tier 1 investment bank partners.
Underpinning all the computers and technology is an experienced team that offers tailored advice and strategies, giving a highly personalised service.
Liberum has recently innovated in the electronic trading space with a new trading algorithm called T-REX, built in conjunction with Turquoise (LSE). T-REX executes retail flow using institutional trading technology, specifically new lit auctions (called periodic or continuous) that have appeared since MIFID II came into force.
The auctions occur every 50-100 ms all day and as such can offer a faster way of trading than the market making RSP, or can be used alongside the RSP. When executed, T-Rex will always achieve Mid-point or better.
Our highly experienced and professional execution team offer expert distribution through established relationships and cutting edge technology.
Corporate & Investor Relations
The Corporate & Investor Relations (CIR) team is based in both London and New York and strives to build trusted relationships across all of our clients, be they corporates, institutions or part of the private client broker network. The CIR team originates and executes roadshows and events, and works closely with Liberum’s corporate clients throughout the year. Collaborating internally with Liberum’s Sales, Trading, Corporate Broking and Research teams gives a clear understanding of our clients’ ambitions and can assist in creating a cohesive strategy to help them reach those goals.
Extensive targeting, using both quantitative and qualitative analysis, ensures that Company Management is put in front of the most relevant investors. The CIR team rigorously maintains an up-to-date shareholders’ register and undertakes full Roadshow coordination, incorporating IR planning meetings, Results Roadshows, bespoke Reverse Roadshows, Analyst & Sales presentations, Site visits and CMDs.
The team has been top-rated by Extel over the past 4 years and all the Executive Team members are FCA registered, with a broad depth of experience across a wide skill-set.
Our investor clients are increasingly keen to deepen their industry knowledge. I thought the conference was excellent with a good mix of publicly-listed opportunities and private / industry viewpoints
I thought today's roundtable was an excellent, insightful event. The interaction between the companies was compelling with a good balance of public companies and private equity backed/private businesses
It was a good day thanks - taking on information through a fire hose! I liked the format
